There’s no doubt that Turks & Caicos is a paradise on earth. It is to see why it is repeatedly being ranked as one of the best destinations in the Caribbean; From its white sandy beaches to the friendly locals and amazing choice of restaurants, there’s nothing you won’t like about Turks & Caicos Islands. A destination suitable for anyone. Whether you’re a couple honeymooning, a group of friends, or a family- Turks & Caicos has so much to offer.

Here are the best things to do in Turks & Caicos:

1) Grace Bay beach: Grace Bay Beach has been repeatedly voted as one of the best beaches in the world by major publications. It really is the best beach on the island and one of the best beaches I’ve ever seen. It features white sand and calm and crystal clear blue water.

2) Snorkel at Coral Gardens reef: Coral Gardens reef is just a few meters from the beach. I recommend you to bring your own snorkelling gear or alternatively you can do Snuba (a mix of scuba diving and snorkelling) with a local company. If you’re lucky you might be able to spot turtles and stingrays

3) Take the boat to Iguana Island: Little Water Cay is a tiny islet ringed by white sandy beaches. It is a habitat for the endangered Turks and Caicos Rock Iguana, a charismatic green lizard endemic to the islands.

4) Horse riding on the beach: There are several tour companies that offer horse riding on the water. Don’t forget to make sure you choose an ethical company. Once you’ve done that, book your tour in advanced as spots fill up very quickly.

5) Book a clear kayak tour & drone photoshoot: If you’re feeling adventurous you might want to do kayaking. You also have the option to do a drone photoshoot on your clear kayak to make those memories last forever.

6) Eat a Conch at Da Conch Shack: This is the best place where you can savour the famous local dish – conch.

7) Sapodilla Hill: A magnificent viewpoint of Sapodilla Bay and the beach.

8) Get friendly with the locals: I found that locals in the island are so friendly! They’ll randomly spark a conversation with you and say hello to everyone on the street. Indeed, it really has a feel of a small net community, which I adored.

9) Restaurants: In my opinion, you can’t go wrong when it comes to food on the island. Indeed, I enjoyed every single meal that I’ve had. Some of my favourite places are The Deck, 72 West, Somewhere Cafe, and Thai Orchid.

10) Watch the sunset at Magnolia Restaurant & Wine Bar: This famous restaurant offers sweeping views of the island. It is the perfect place to visit during sunset.

11) Party at the Tiki bar: Captain Oak’s Tiki Bar is a great option if you’re looking to let loose at the middle of the ocean.

12) Visit Mangrove Cay: Best accessible with a kayak, Mangrove Cay is an island nearby Blue Haven Marina where you can find turtles in the wild.

13) Grab an ice-cream at Island Scoop: Make a quick stop to Island Scoop on your way through the island. This is where you can grab the best ice-cream on the island.

14) Enjoy brunch by the beach: A few of my favourite places for brunch on the island are: Bistro Bar (recommended to me by locals), Grace Bay club and 72 West.
