WHERE TO EAT: Michelin Star Experience at L’Autre Pied

L’Autre Pied is a French Michelin starred restaurant located in the vibrant neighbourhood of Mayfair.

I went there for a date night with my friend for a long overdue catch up. It wasn’t for a special celebration, but just because we really wanted to try something new. And surely, L’autre Pied was the first Michelin star experience for both of us.

WHAT DID I ORDER?

I ordered the vegetarian tasting menu which had 6 courses and gave me an excellent chance to taste the different veggie dishes on their menu. There is also non-vegetarian tasting menu which my friend had (and loved by the way). The tasting menu is reasonably priced and indeed a great option to get familiar with the restaurant’s various meal options. Not all the dishes were exactly my cup of tea, however, it was indeed an experience to taste these flavours that were new to me.

The first courses included cucumber, lemon, yoghurt and wild rice as a starter, and was followed by a warm salad of Brassicas, Vadouvan, Sorrel and Seaweed.

The next course was Spatzle, Celery, Walnuts, Grapes and Belper Knolle that composed a special flavoured dish.

However, for me, the most delicious part of my tastig menu were the desserts.

MY EXPERIENCE:

We had a great time tasting the different dishes on the menu at L’autre Pied. The service was also very efficient with courses coming out as fast as we finished the previous one. The servant was very knowledgeable on the menu and provided us with information on the various dishes. To conclude, I would definitely recommend trying out this Michelin star restaurant. Especially, it is a great introduction to the world of Michelin star restaurants.

    Oh wow there are so many amazing restaurants in London, love it there too, I get hungry just looking at your pics!     Great outfit! Looks like a lovely dinner! I love most Michelin star restaurants I’ve tried. I have been to about 4 or 5. There are a couple in Positano, a few in Las Vegas and a couple in Malaga. I have yet to visit a 3 star since they get quite expensive in the 3 star category, but that would be quite the experience for anyone, wouldn’t it? 🙂
