HOTEL REVIEW: La Malmaison Boutique Hotel, Nice

La Malmaison Nice Boutique Hotel is a 4-star hotel in the French Riviera. The boutique hotel is ideally located at Nice city centre and only minutes away from the beach. It is ideal for every type of traveller: couples, families, or for business stays. ABOUT LA MALMAISON

An Ascend Collection Member hotel, La Malmaison Nice is a popular boutique hotel in the centre of the lovely French town, Nice. As you walk in, you step into a grandiose staircases and Art Deco style interior. At the reception, there is always a welcoming face that will be willing to help you. A lovely buffet breakfast is served daily with a variety of options.

The hotel resides in a 5-story ancient building and was renovated in 2006.

THE LOCATION

The location is one of the best in Nice. It doesn’t get much central than that. With Nice’s many popular attractions a walking-distance away, the location is excellent. You can easily walk to the hotel from the main train station, which we did upon our arrival to Nice from Monaco. Also, within walking distance are the Promenade des Anglaise, the beach, the castle and the Old Town. Meaning, a selection of restaurants, bars and shopping are nearby, and you won’t have to use a taxi, providing you’re okay to walk.

THE ROOM

The hotel features 46 luxury rooms. Our room was small and cozy featuring a balcony. It was highly clean and the bed was also really comfortable. It was also well equipped with a mini bar, hair dryer and a safe.

IN CONCLUSION

We had a lovely experience staying at for a short one night break. Although, the weather in Nice wasn’t the greatest while we were there, the hotel provided us with a cozy escape from the rain. The staff were highly accommodating and did everything to ensure that our stay will be fantastic. I will definitely would love to return to stay at the hotel.
