WHERE TO STAY: Mondrian Hotel, London

Mondrian London is the perfect hotel for a luxurious London vacation. It offers a wide range of rooms and suits. Conveniently located by the River Thames, the hotel’s guests may indulge in a luxurious spa, complimentary intercontinental breakfast, a gym and even a cinema. My stay at this five-star hotel was indeed an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend to stay at Mondrian when visiting London for anyone who is interested in a luxurious experience in a modern decorated hotel.

THE LOCATION

The location of the hotel could not have been more ideal. Its position at south bank, by the river, makes it convenient for guests to take a stroll on the boardwalk while taking-in the magnificent London views, which can be especially romantic for couples. When I stayed at the hotel I went to eat lunch at the iconic Borough Market, which was only a short walking distance. On the way to the market I also got to see Shakespeare’s Globe and the Tate Modern. More attractions that are within walking distance from the hotel include: the London Eye, the London Dungeons, the National Theatre and the Big Ben. If that is not enough to convince you that Mondrian hotel offers the best location, especially for tourists, the hotel is also located only a few minutes walk from Waterloo and Southwark tube stations which can take you to anywhere in London in a short ride.

THE STAFF

I received an excellent service from the staff at Mondrian. When you walk-in to the hotel you instantly feel welcomed by the receptionists and the doorman who will be happy to answer any of your questions. A staff member walked me to the room and helped with my luggage while explaining about the hotel’s facilities. Overall, the service was warm, friendly and professional.

THE ROOM

I stayed in the standard room which was stunningly decorated by the
award-winning designer Tom Dixon. I found his elegant, sophisticated and modern design to perfectly match my expectations as it provided a unique
atmosphere to the room. The room featured a super comfortable queen sized bed, cutting-edge furniture, drip wall painting and marble bathrooms. Needless to mention the minibar that had so many treats I could not resist. I absolutely enjoyed my stay in the spacious and specially designed room. The thing I was most surprised about is that the bathroom’s amenities were branded with MALIN + GOETZ products, unlike any other luxury hotel I been to. However, what I liked the most about the room was the lightening, which made it so easy to do my make-up even after dark. The hotel also offers larger rooms and suits with views that worth taking a look at while considering this hotel.

THE FACILITIES

Mondrian hotel offers wide range of facilities. Guests can relax at the spa, workout at the fitness club, or eat and at the dining areas.

The restaurant, Sea Containers at Mondrian London, is a restaurant featuring American and British cuisine, with a diverse menu to fit everyone’s taste and dishes made with local produce. The restaurant also has an outdoor terrace by the river which is perfect for those summer days.

For drinks and snacks guests can sit at the lobby or at Dandelyan Bar, while for a more trendy and young experience I would recommend going up to the 12th floor to the hotel’s rooftop bar- Rumpus Room. I loved that rooftop bar so much that I wrote a whole blog post about it which you can find HERE.

MY EXPERIENCE

To conclude, my experience in Mondrian Hotel London was one of the best five-star hotel experiences I’ve ever had. My room was tidy and beautifully designed, the rooftop bar was the ultimate London experience and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. Without a doubt, this is one of the trendiest hotels in London.

I would like to thank Mondrian Hotel for an amazing stay,
I will definitely be back! Be sure to check out their website to find out more about prices and reservations.
