The Cutest Hotel in Paris: La Maison Favart

Filled with history and unique character, hotel La Maison Favart is the cutest as it can get. It is the perfect Parisian hotel for every tourist: whether you’re traveling in a couple, alone, for business or for families. Its key location, along with the interior, makes it a hotel like no other. If you’re looking for Parisian vibes all the way, look no further, as this is the hotel for you!

ABOUT THE HOTEL

La Maison Favart is a chic Parisian boutique hotel, conveniently located at the neighbourhood of Vivienne, on the 2nd District of Paris, at the heart of the city. Its location, interior design, delicious breakfast, friendly staff and facilities- all make it the perfect Parisian hotel. The hotel features 24/7 concierge service, free Wifi, a spa with sauna and relaxation bath, fitness room and a breakfast room where guests can indulge that is later converted into a bar. In addition, my favourite facility was an outdoor terrace guests can enjoy when weather permits.

THE HISTORY

Staying at La Maison Favart also means being surrounded by history. The hotel bears the name of the famous Favart couple, founders of the Comic Opera in Paris. The hotel is located just besides the Opera, which we overlooked from our hotel room. Charles-Simon Favart, who was a French play-writer, felt in love with Mademoiselle Chantilly, a young actress. They became one of the most famous couples in the history of the French theatre. Accordingly, La Maison Favart is inspired by the 18th century theatre set, promising: “You will be transported into their world, immersed in an exciting, surprising and a 18th century Parisian decor; you will discover a theatrical jewel-box, rich in detail yet discreet, in the very heart of Paris.”

THE ROOMS

The hotel features different types of room, with each room has a different interior design and name. Overall the hotel has 39 bedrooms and there are four room options: classic bedroom, deluxe bedroom, the suites, the duplexes, and La petite Maison. La Petite Maison is the guests the option to stay in the cozy apartment of Charles Simon and Justine Favart Ronceray, the famous Favart couple.

The rooms have a modern take on a traditional interior, with colourful wallpapers and white marble bathrooms.

THE DESIGN

La Maison Favart brings a new angle on a classic 18th century design. Featuring heavy curtains and pastel-colour theme, the design has a feminine and elegant style with a modern take.

The lobby has a cozy feeling with fireplace and comfortable furniture. Vases with flowers, magazines, statement mirrors and pictures on the wall- The small details makes all the difference when it comes to the design of the hotel. CHARMING is possibly the best word I can use to describe the interior.

LOCATION

Location is key when it comes to choosing a hotel. La Maison Favart has an excellent location that is unbeatable. It is located in a quite and secluded square opposite the Opera Comique, giving guests intimacy and a feeling of out-of-town while staying at the heart of the city. The hotel is minutes walk to numerous famous attractions such as Museum Du Louvre, Palais-Royal, Galeries Lafayettes, Place Vendôme and more.

During daytime you will have plenty of cafes and shopping areas to choose from. While at night the neighbourhood comes to life with buzzing nightlife and a variety of restaurants and bars.

MY EXPERIENCE

As we visited during November the entrance of the hotel was beautifully decorated for the holiday season. Then, from the moment you step into La Maison Favart, you feel the Parisian vibes. With a cozy lobby decorated with picture frames and pastel colours, as well as a Christmas tree- we immediately felt at home. Warm and friendly faces will greet you and the porter will lead you to your hotel room. With each room designed differently, finding out which room you were allocated to would be a surprised in itself.

Our room was beautifully decorated and spacious with a marble shower. I loved the room so much that I even ordered my breakfast to the room, which was complimentary.

I throroughtly enjoyed my stay and I now know what hotel I will book on my next visit to Paris.
