10 Luxury Places To Visit in London

I’ve been living in London for quite a while now, and let me tell you, London is all about Luxury. To fully enjoy what London has to offer, you must indulge yourself in some luxurious and posh experiences. From rooftop bars to deluxe shopping experiences, London is the ultimate luxury city.

Surely, if there’s anything I’ve learned from living in London, is how to live like a princess. Even if you can’t always afford indulging yourself, you can try and pick one or two of the luxurious places listed below, you won’t be dissapointed!

So, without further ado…

These are my top 10 luxurious places to visit in London:

Radio Rooftop Bar London

1. Radio Rooftop Bar:

There is no way you never heard of this place before and if you havn’t you need to look it up right now. Radio at the ME Hotel is one of the most exclusive rooftop bars in London. You will not be disappointed when indulgingin the food and cocktails while overlooking one of the best views in town, in a vibrant and young atmosphere. And that’s right, the beautiful Somerset House is right there behind me in that picture.

Harrods London

2. Harrods:

So much has been said about Harrods and it is definitely one of the most luxurious department stores in the world. For me, however, going to Harrods is not just a luxurious shopping experience, it is much more than that. In Harrods you can eat the poshest variety of food in the amazing food halls from one of a kind chocolates to wonderful shnitzel sandwhices (but be prepared to spend, I once ate a £15 ice cream sundae!) add the phenomonal fashion, beauty and other worldy products and you have yourself one of the best and most luxurious experiences around.

Chelsea London

3. Chelsea & South Kensington:

Not too far from Harrods are Chelsea and South Kensington, two wealthy neighborhoods in Southwest London that are home to some of the most affluent people in the world. Although I most definitely can’t afford living there, I love walking around these areas go to the different cafes, restaurants and shops it has to offer. You can start by visiting the museums around South Kensington and walk all the way Sloane Square for shopping, following by King’s Road, Chelsea’s famous street.

4. Hampstead Heath Park:

One of Londons most famous parks it is definitely my favorite park in London to walk my boyfriend’s dog. But even if you’re not walking a dog, and you want to escape the busy city life, this park is perfect for you. It has nice cafes throughout and an amazing view of the city center from the highest hill.

5. Kensington Roof Gardens:

This venue is home to many exclusive events in town, including concerts, fashion shows and trendy parties. Its garden is beautifully decorated and it is the perfect hangout place to enjoy the summer days in London. Also, a pleasant surprise for the guests are the Flamingos (Yes, seriously!) they have in the garden. This place is probably the best kept secret by locals because it’s not visible from the outside of the building. Before you go there make sure you check for tickets to the different events here.

6. Somerset House:

Somerset House hosts fashionable events during the year and is even a home to some of the London Fashion Week exhibitions. If you can’t find any event going on while you visit, don’t worry, as you can still go and enjoy the beauty of the buildings, take beautiful pictures and go to one of the cafes or restaurants it has to offer. By the way, nowadays during the festive time you can go ice-skating between these historical stunning buildings.

7. The Shard:

No luxury list of places in London would be complete without a mention of the Shard. The Shard is home to Shangri La Hotel, a fabulous 5-star hotel and one of the most luxurious hotel in town. It also has a wide variety of bars and restaurants. I went to Aqua for drinks and had an amazing time. I sipped on luxurious cocktails and enjoyed the London views. In case you can’t visit one of the restaurants or bar, you can still go to the Shard and enjoy the view but they do charge entry. You can check the admission prices, what they include, and the different packages HERE.

8. Sky Garden:

Sky Garden is a unique shaped building in the London skyline. In terms of what it has to offer, it is quite similar to the Shard, thus, if you can’t go to both I would only choose one of the two. The building has a posh French restaurant, called Darwin Brasserie. I have only been to the Sky Pod Bar for drinks, which in my view was enough for the ultimate Sky Garden experience. You can also book your free ticket HERE for a daytime visit.

9. Laudrée at Covent Garden:

The famous Ladurée doesn’t need any further introduction. What I loved the most about this branch of Ladurée was the fact that you can sit upstairs on the porch overlooking the busy Covent Garden Market.

10. Claridge’s Hotel:

Claridge’s Hotel is a guaranteed luxury experience due to its gold décor and the squared black & white floor and the exclusive hotel guests.  I went for drinks in this posh hotel for my birthday and received the best service from the staff. Thus, I highly recommend you visit this hotel if you like the fine things in life.

Honestly, I could think of so many other places I would add to this list. However, I wanted to only recommend my top choices.
