HOTEL REVIEW: Aria Hotel Budapest

Aria Hotel Budapest offers the perfect luxury experience in Budapest. Its design and top of the range facilities made my experience unforgettable.

Aria Hotel is more than just another luxury hotel; it offers a unique experience especially for music lovers. Different musical genres have inspired its interior design with each area having a unique feel and vibe. The hotel has definitely set a strong precedent for future upmarket hotels; Especially, due to the complimentary services it offers and its interior design.

About the hotel:

Aria Hotel Budapest opened only last year in March 2016, and it is already an award winning hotel. TripAdvisor ranked it as the 1# hotel in Budapest. In addition, Travel + Leisure also recognised the hotel as one of Europe’s Top Ten European City Hotels.

The music-themed décor was designed by a Hungarian designer named Zoltan Varro. Furthermore, every aspect of the hotel’s design is inspired by music and therefore it is a paradise for music lovers. Each wing has guests’ bedrooms which are dedicated to four different music genre: classical, opera, contemporary and jazz. But wait, it does get even better than that; The reception features piano keys across the floor and includes comfortable luxurious seating.

Music Garden Courtyard

Aria Hotel Budapest is a member of the Library Hotel Collection which includes Aria Hotel Prague, Hotel X Toronto, and Library Hotel in New York; all of which offer different experiences.

The location:

The hotel location is very convenient and is next door to the St. Stephens’s Basilica. Also, it is only short distance from other Budapest’s major attractions. Chain Bridge, the House of Parliament and the Shoes on the Danube Bank are within a walking distance, while the Castle District and Fisherman’s Bastion are easily accessible by bus or taxi.

St. Stephen’s Basilica

The rooms:

Each of the 49 bedrooms and suites offers a unique music experience to its guests. The rooms feature a caricature of music legends made by the famous artist Joseph Blechato. The caricature compliment the music genre each room is inspired by, which was really fun and quirky.

The rooms are spacious and lit. Some rooms offer a private balcony to the Music Garden Courtyard. Whereas, other rooms have windows that are overlooking the streets of Budapest.

I stayed in the Classical Wing in the Aria Singnature Luxury Room with a city view. When I walked into the room I was greeted by lovely music coming out of the flat screen TV that is positioned within a marble fireplace. My room was furnished with a marble table, writing table, chairs and a sofa. The bathroom was equipped with both showers and baths for a maximum luxurious experience. However, the best part of the bathroom, in my opinion, was the Molton Brown London shower amenities.

Moreover, all rooms include free Wi-Fi and equipped with an iPad, intelligent Multi-Media system, Nespresso machine, and complimentary drinks and chocolates.

The service:

The service provided by the stuff was impressive. The stuff were attentive, friendly and helpful with every question or request I’ve had.

One service that really stood out for me was the complimentary wine and cheese at the Music Garden (reception hall). It is held every afternoon between 4PM to 6PM, accompanied by a performance from a pianist.

The spa:

Harmony Spa offers a variety of treatments such as massages, facials and nail treatments in a relaxing atmosphere. It offers indoor pool, comfortable lounges, fitness center, saunas a Jacuzzi.  Basically it has everything you would need and expect from a luxury hotel spa.

Dining experience:

The breakfast offers a selection of farm fresh products, including eggs of your choice.

Complimentary fresh breakfast

Stradivari is the hotel’s main restaurant that offers modern Hungarian dining.

Satchmo’s Bar & Library Lounge are cool spots to meet up with friends, have a romantic evening or mingle. Their décor is innovative and fun and therefore are the perfect places for recreation after a busy day of sightseeing.

The rooftop bar:

The hotel’s rooftop bar, High Note SkyBar, is indeed the crème de la crème of the hotel’s facilities. The rooftop has one of the best panorama views in town, overlooking St. Stephen’s Basilica.

You could also indulge on drinks, cocktails, food and desserts while soaking in the weather.

MY  EXPERIENCE:

Before my stay, I was curious to see why Aria Hotel Budapest is so loveable by its guests. Because every single review I’ve read have rewarded it with 5 out of 5 stars. The minute I walked in to the hotel, stepping on the beautiful piano floor, I understood why.

My experience at the hotel was truly incredible. I felt like a princess while staying at my luxury room and listening to my favorite music.

The hotel has provided me with the perfect home base to explore Budapest and what it has to offer. I particularly loved its rooftop bar; sipping on a cocktail and eating a delicious cheesecake while overlooking the breathtaking views of Budapest.

The hotel also impressed me with its emphasis on social media engagement, as they’re proudly showcasing their guests’ social media pictures in the elevator.

Aria Hotel Budapest truly stands out of other luxury hotels with its music-inspired design, complimentary services and facilities. Without a doubt, Aria Budapest Hotel has set a precedent for how I view luxury hotels. This will be hard to beat.
