I had the pleasure to stay for one night at CitizenM Hotel in Tower of London. There are many reasons why I loved to stay at this hotel, but what makes it so unique is its incredible view of the famous landmark: Tower of London. From the amazing views of the terrace to the pampering breakfast and the comfortable room- CitizenM is the perfect hotel to stay in at London.
THE LOCATION
CitizenM has an unbeatable location, as it is located right next to one of London’s famous landmarks: Tower of London. It also has good transport links and is right next to the Tower Hill tube station and the London Fenchurch Street train station. The main attractions in town such as Oxford St. and the Big Ben are easily accessible via tube. Around the neighborhood you can find a wide selection of restaurants and dinning options, which is really important when choosing a hotel. Personally, I always end up eating dinner around the hotel I’m staying at and CitizenM was in a perfect location for a nice dinner.
THE LOBBY
I absolutely loved the lobby’s decor. It was designed to match the overall London-theme modern decor of the hotel. I felt extremely comfortable hanging in the lobby and browsing the library for interesting books. The lobby is also very spacious, more spacious than most of the other London hotels.
THE ROOM
My room was cozy and comfortable, however, the best thing about it was that it had wall-to-wall window overlooking the Tower of London. During the check-in you get to choose the type of view you would like from your room, with no extra charge, and of course, I chose to overlook the Tower of London. Waking up to this gorgeous view was an experience in itself.
The room was stylish, compact and comfortable. Also, the bed was extremely comfortable which was rewarding after a busy day strolling around London.
THE SHOWER
The shower was pampering and relaxing. Of course, it was also nice that it was lighted in pink and that you could change the color of the lights using the iPad provided by the hotel. The hotel provides a special citizenM shampoo and soap that smelled incredible.
THE CONCEPT
CizitenM is a smart hotel where luxury meets technology. Each room has an iPad through which you could operate and control everything in the room: the lights, the TV, the temperature, and the curtains. Especially, I liked the ambient colored lighting because it gave the room the perfect romantic atmosphere.
Not only is the room equipped with smart technology, but also at the lobby guests can use the hotel’s iMacs in case they forgot your own laptop.
The hotel is also especially designed for buisness travelers. Guests can have their business meeting at the hotel with all the necessary equipment.
THE SERVICE
The hotel staff were very friendly and willing to assist with any request I’ve had. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed by the service provided by the staff.
THE BREAKFAST
CitizenM offers a buffet continental breakfast at the comfort of the lobby. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of food choices that could suit every guest’s requirement and taste.
THE BAR & TERRACE
One of the best facilities of the hotel is CouldM, a bar with a terrace and panoramic city views, located at the 7th floor. Guests can enjoy a selections of drinks and refreshments while overlooking the Tower of London. It has comfortable sofas and an innovative modern design.
The bar was my favorite hangout place during my stay. At the evening, I shared at the bar a bottle of rose while catching up with a friend and overlooking the stunning view, as there was no need to leave the hotel to have a drink somewhere else.
MY EXPERIENCE
I had an amazing time staying at the hotel. What I loved the most was location of the hotel, being located at the trendy neighborhood Tower Hill and as well as the unique view of Tower of London. I invited a friend over to the hotel for a drink and we loved hanging out at the bar! My boyfriend also accompanied me to the hotel and he really loved the smart concept of the hotel.
